Am I Winning?

People want to play a game they can win. There are defined rules and scoring for every game because without those you get chaos. We must set expectations and goals for our teams. This aligns them to the mission of the organization and moves everyone in the right direction. Morale drops when teams can’t tell if they are winning. They start to go out on their own and start to guess. Do you have team members that you look at and ask “why are they doing that?” If so, have you been clear about the rules? The expectations? How you are keeping score? Give your teams the ability to see if they are winning. It will change everything.
